Out of all the tools I’ve recommended in this series of entries, Fairusewizard is probably the program that I couldn’t do without. It basically allows you to convert a physical DVD, or even a DVD image (.ISO/.IMG) into either XviD/DivX/H.264 formats. There are even some presets for conversions specific to devices, from Zunes to PS3s. [...]

As easy as WordPress makes it to make new entries, Microsoft, yes Microsoft provides an easier way.
Windows Live Writer, though still in it’s beta stages, provides arguably the most convenient and fully featured blogging client. I’ve been putting it through its paces since the outset of the creation of this blog, and I’ve had [...]

All credit goes to lifehacker for bringing this program to my attention. I’ve been using it for around a month now and I’m honestly quite impressed. Call Graph, though currently in beta, gives you the ability to record your Skype conference calls straight to mp3/WAV formats. With the use of their paid service Call Graph [...]

What I want to write about is Mozilla’s email client, Thunderbird. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if Mozilla’s products become more widespread [...]

Hands down my favourite browser. Sure Opera promises a faster experience, but faster doesn’t always mean better. And I guess Internet Explorer 7 has improved vastly over its predecessor – but that isn’t really saying much. Mozilla’s Firefox is heads and shoulders above its competitors primarily because of its extension system. That’s not to say [...]

So you’re system’s up to date with the latest offerings from Windows – you now need an antivirus. And I have several trusted recommendations.
For a paid option, I recommend (and use) NOD32. I opted for the vanilla antivirus solution – as opposed to their smart security suite that comes with a built-in firewall. My PC [...]
